We will meet at 8:00am Saturday morning at the Troop Shed.  We will assemble our group gear to take, and decide which cars to take.  Please bring a sack lunch for Saturday.  The Whitewater Merit Badge session will be for the Scouts, and will start at 12:00.  The merit badge work will be done in inflatable kayaks, near the campsite, on gentle water on the South Fork of the American River.  In the evening, we will all cook dinner together, using our stove and grill.  American Whitewater will provide five tents for our group of 14 to share.  On Sunday morning, we will make breakfast and need to be ready to leave the campsite at 7:00am for the whitewater rafting.  We will raft on the Middle Fork of the American River, which has some Class 4 stretches.  American Whitewater will provide lunch Sunday.  We will raft all day Sunday.  Please bring money to stop for dinner at In and Out in Auburn on the way home. Rafting Sunday costs $50, and kayaking Saturday costs an additional $25; the Troop pays the rest.
