Hello Scouts, My upcoming Eagle project is on Saturday August 17th. We will meet at 8:30 am at the  basketball court at The Truckee Regional Park, across the way from Blue Coyote. We will be installing a couple benches and we will be refurbishing two picnic tables and putting them on the disc golf course. We will also be fixing up some of the holes in the course. Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided. It would be nice that every one bring their own pair of working gloves to work with, the beneficiary will be providing the tools to work with at the course. It would be great for everybody to come, it will be doing the project easier and faster, and make it more enjoyable for everyone.  Please RSVP for the event on the Troop website calendar.

Troop 267 has been asked to help at the Truckee Air Show, July 13, from 3-6pm.  We will be helping with the end of the show, and then the tear-down of the Optimist equipment.  The Optimist Club is our chartering organization, and has been very generous to the Troop.  Most recently, they provided the funding for a lot of new camping equipment.  Please come out and enjoy the show, then stay at the end and help.  All Scouts will earn service hours for rank advancement, and High School students will earn community service hours.  Please sign up on the Troop website.

Troop 267 will be shopping for Toys for Tots Wednesday, December 11.  We will meet at Rite Aid at 6:30.  Afterward, at 7:30, we will go to Dairy Queen, where the Troop will buy a desert for each Scout.

Troop 267 will set up the Christmas Tree Lot at the northeast corner of Mountain Hardware on Friday November 23 at 8:30am.  We will install the racks, set up the equipment and lights, deliver the first loads of trees, and assemble the fencing.  We should be finished in roughly 2-3 hours.  Please sign up, yea or nay, on the Troop website.    

Troop 267 will have an outing at the climbing wall at the New Rec Center on November 14.  We will first meet at 5:00 at the Christmas tree storage area to cover as many trees as possible with tarps to help retain moisture.  We will then go to the climbing wall.  Please bring finger food or drinks to share.  The Troop will bring some pizza.
